Sonoma County’s premier charity wine event returns August 16, 2025 at Bricoleur Vineyards

Project Zin, one of Sonoma County’s most beloved charity wine gatherings, celebrates its fifteenth anniversary on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Bricoleur Vineyards in Windsor. Founded by Clay and Carrie Mauritson of Mauritson Wines and Chef Charlie Palmer, the event unites top Zinfandel producers, Michelin-starred chefs and passionate supporters to benefit the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area.

From its start as a $25,000 fundraiser in 2010, Project Zin has grown into a Northern California tradition, raising nearly $400,000 last year and over $3 million to date. The 21 Zinfandel producers in the lineup honors Trisomy 21, the medical term for Down Syndrome, and the cause at the heart of the Mauritsons’ journey with their son Brady.

This year’s featured wineries include Aperture Cellars, Bedrock Wine Co., Carlisle, Ridge, Turley, Seghesio, Martinelli and Mauritson Wines. Culinary partners span from SingleThread Farms with three Michelin stars and Dry Creek Kitchen to beloved local spots such as Bird and the Bottle, Catelli’s and The Matheson.

The live auction hosted by Franco Finn, the Golden State Warriors hype man, offers rare experiences such as a European and Mekong river cruise, a bourbon and wine dinner with Julian Van Winkle, and a Winemaker for the Weekend package at Limerick Lane.

VIP weekend packages include stays at Hotel Healdsburg or Harmon Guest House with exclusive events blending SingleThread’s fine dining with private tastings at Mauritson Wines. General admission tickets are $200 and VIP tickets are $350. Tickets and details are available at projectzin.org

Project Zin is more than a fundraiser and has become a celebration of inclusion, acceptance and community. Brady Mauritson, now 17, says that every year he sees how the event brings people together and shows that the community is stronger when everyone is included.
